About Our Firm

Our law firm is George F. Indest III, P.A. - The Health Law Firm (d/b/a The Health Law Firm). It was founded in September, 1999, and began doing business in Orlando, Florida in December, 1999. In 2002, we moved our main office to Altamonte Springs, Florida, approximately six miles from downtown Orlando. In 2005, we opened a branch office in Pensacola, Florida.

The Health Law Firm is a law firm which concentrates in representing healthcare providers, exclusively. Our health law attorneys and paralegals have decades of experience in the legal and health care fields. Mr. Indest, the President and Managing Partner of the firm, is board certified by the Florida Bar in Health Law and masters degree trained (LL.M from The National Law Center, George Washington University). Michael L. Smith is a registered respiratory therapist as well as an attorney. He is also Board Certified by the Florida Bar in Health Law.

We currently have five full time attorneys, another attorney who is of counsel to the firm, three paralegals and other support staff. In the near future, we expect to add another attorney, and another paralegal/legal assistant.

Our clients include physicians, dentists, nurses, health care professionals, nursing homes, home health agencies, nursing agencies, hospitals, health insurers, medical groups, health care facilities, durable medical equipment (DME) suppliers, and other healthcare providers

The services we provide include reviewing and negotiating contracts, business transactions, defense of professional licensing cases, representation in investigations, defense in credentialing matters, Medicare and Medicaid audits, opinion letters, commercial litigation, covenants-not-to-compete, restrictive covenant litigation, incorporation, formation of corporations and limited liability companies (LLCs), all types of commercial and business litigation, administrative hearings, negotiation of contracts and other matters of Health Law and legal representation of health care professionals.

Although a majority of our clients are in Florida, stretching from Key West in the south to Pensacola in the northwest, we also handle cases throughout the United States.

George Indest is board certified by the Florida Bar in the specialty of Health Law and is available to accept referrals of health care clients to act as co-counsel on health care cases state-wide. We are Florida Health lawyers who represent health care professionals.
